Job Description: An Account Manager is an account head and closely works with the senior management in developing the PR division.
He/she will be in charge of overseeing the smooth running of the PR campaign, from briefing the team/client to controlling the budget, and will even be responsible for a team of account executives. He/she will assist the Account Director in managing all creative details throughout the project to ensure that action-items are accomplished on a timely and accurate basis.
He/she will also be responsible to develop knowledge and expertise of client’s business, industry and competitors within the team.
The successful candidate should have management or graduate qualifications with a specialization in the relevant department and should possess a minimum of 4-5 year of relevant experience in the same field.
An Account (Senior) Manager is expected to lead account teams , acting as a mentor and coach for team members, taking an active role in their professional development and assume accountability for meeting all program deliverables.
Experience: 4 or more years, preferably with strong agency background

Manages all assigned account team activities to ensure deadlines are met; delegates responsibilities to team members; conducts internal
account brainstorming sessions; responsible for team production of high-quality work
Performs account team work as needed – i.e., copywriting, high-level media pitching, social media outreach
Reviews/edits all materials before sending to client for approval
Client relations – serves as day-to-day client interface; plans and leads client meetings, sets realistic client expectations on all projects; continually keeps client abreast of status of current projects
Supports additional client activities as requested by supervisors
Time Management / Deadline
Email responsiveness: Responding and acknowledging every email in a timely fashion (within the hour)
Prioritizing workload: Checking with team on priorities and ensuring it is completed in the given timeframe
Taking time to read every single piece of coverage before sharing with client
Office attendance by 9:00am every day
Minimal sick leave – and flexibility to work on urgent deadlines when possible from home
Compliance with office holiday and leave procedures
Successful completion of media monitoring on behalf of the team
Minimizing overtime – achieving a balanced nine hour time sheet whilst meeting all deadlines
Manages employees – participates in new employee interviews, provides clear direction on assigned client projects; mediates/counsels on employee performance issues, participates in annual reviews.
Participates in and contributes to administrative functions of the company including staff meetings, office operations and support, and team-building exercises.
The position has the key responsibility of achieving the target for the BUZ PR division through business development activities with the Key Existing clients as well as new clients.
KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS Success in the Account Manager position will be measured by the following benchmarks:
Supervises the strategic direction given to the teams
Regularly makes recommendations to clients to solve problems without having to necessarily involve senior management; exhibits confidence in interactions with clients.
Ensures assigned account teams are performing efficiently, on schedule and within the established scope.
Actively sets and meets deadlines for account tasks
Lack of complaints from client contact
Continually contributes innovative approaches to standard communications projects (i.e. press releases, newsletters, etc.) in order to increase overall impact and effectiveness.
Ensures account teams are producing superior quality products and adhering to agency’s standards of excellence.
Accountability on the accounts.
