Responsible to translate the global Avian Marketing and Technical strategy into the Middle East Marketing plan considering the local characteristics of the region, with the objectives of growing the Avian footprint in the region through geographical expansion and/or new products. The role will ensure that the organization is maintained up to date with market insights, as it relates to the avian market size and competitive landscape and ensures that required documentation and reporting is maintained. The role will ensure the right resources and follow up to ensure that regional marketing and technical plans are executed with excellence and in full compliance.
Marketing & Technical intelligence:
Collation and analysis of market data so as to map the potential and market share by country and segment, and ensuring that Cx has visibility to such analysis.
Continuous tracking of market dynamic changes that could impact the business, and ensure that such information, and developed mitigation plans are shared with the team.
Technical Intelligence: Collect and analyze market information, stay breast with latest discoveries and publications by way of journals, forums, conferences and evaluate new opportunities.
Avian Marketing Plan:
Define, formalize and set up marketing plan for the Avian business in Middle East, in line with the global Avian Strategy.
Define the required resources required to implement the plan, and participate in the development of required marketing material where required.
Participate to the budget exercise and ensure alignment with the marketing Plan.
Liaise with META Avian Business Segment Head and Compliance manager in order to monitor the budget.
Marketing and technical implementation:
Support distributors and agents to develop the local marketing plan aligned with the Avian strategy defined with the Area Business Managers during budget exercise.
Develop and implement the products launch excellence in coordination with Cx, ensuring that systems (ELAN/ILPN) are continuously updated and revised
Provide marketing and technical support to the avian team, distributors and clients (training, documentation, roadshows, field trials…)
Develop, collect and dispatch all relevant technical documents required for plan implementation.
Develop a training plan for distributor teams in coordination with Cx.
Ensure connection with the META avian BSH or global services (collecting corporate guidelines, reporting countries specificities)
Develop close working relationships with the Key Opinion Leaders and develop potential KOL deployment plan.
Define, in coordination with the Area Business Manager, the Marketing & Technical budget allocation, by countries.
In coordination with Avian BSH, develop local trials according to best practices guidance in order to support the avian range.
Ensures appropriate procedures are in place for local Trials
Develops trial protocols and organizes local registries in accordance with international procedures
New product and geo extension:
Feed the avian growth with new product and geo extension in alignment with BI policies and procedures, ensuring that the systems are appropriately updated. (Threshold, ILPM, ELAN).
Liaise with the Cx manager in order to follow new product launch execution.
Ensures that product promotional and education materials are prepared/updated/adapted in compliance with corporate guidelines and local regulatory and communication rules in each country responsible for.
Maintains a code of professional conduct as defined by the Boehringer Ingelheim code of conduct and reports instances of unethical practices exhibited by competitors.
Challenges miscommunication in products and unethical claims
Defends BI product registration or re-registrations as required
Investigates reports following Pharmacovigilance notification.
Degree in Veterinary
A minimum of 5 – 7 years of work experience; minimum 3 years in the Marketing/Technical department of a multinational Animal Health/related company in the Avian business
Marketing/brand management experience is required
Regional experience in Middle East required
Ideally having previous practical experience with the species
Fluency in English and Arabic languages, oral and written
