Role Overview:

To manage MENA Regional Payment Card Fraud Risk on Debit and Credit portfolios exceeding 1.2 million cards in the region, with average daily transaction volumes about 130k. Design targeted fraud mitigation strategies through in depth reviews and analysis, anticipate threat perspectives and deploy well optimized detection solutions through the fraud system. Control card fraud losses to be within Group/Regional/Global averages and adopt a balanced approach to minimize customer impact within Card Schemes’ benchmark.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identify fraud vulnerabilities and create robust fraud detection solutions to mitigate current and emerging fraud threats.
Facilitate detailed review and analytics in various dimensions using historical data to observe fraud behaviours and create layered defensive mechanism through SAS EFM Fraud Management system.
Adopt automated tactical solutions from Group Fraud that are suitably customized to respond to regional fraud trends and requirements.
Explore multiple detection channels to enhance capabilities and early identification of fraud attacks/attempts.
Actively engage in card fraud related key projects, system enhancements and periodic system fix releases
Experience & Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree holder having 3-5 years of banking experience in the area of card fraud analytics and management with thorough knowledge on fraud systems and exposure to project implementations. Ability to anticipate frauds and formulate suitable mitigation strategies, to counter evolving fraud risks through tactical measures. Involves close engagements with Group Cards, MENA Card Schemes, peers in the region and serving both internal and external customers.
