CONSUMER MARKETING
Promote “Marketing Excellence” through consumer, shopper, customer focus and awareness of leading edge marketing skills and practices.
Assess how advertising media and promotional practice activities deliver brand/category goals.
Formulate action plans to deter competitive moves.
Manage advertising development and media planning.

TRADE UNDERSTANDING AND RELATIONSHIPS
Build sales and trade knowledge through development of relationships with trade.
Develop strategies and business plans related to channel/trade spending/distribution strategy, category management, merchandising strategy, pricing plans, for multiple trade classes.

CONSUMER & SHOPPER UNDERSTANDING
Translate market research data and consumer insights into marketing action plans.
Initiate research to address potential marketing issues.
Review research methodologies vis-à-vis objectives.
STRATEGIC & CREATIVE THINKING
Recommend innovative ways to improve established ways of doing things.
Identify new product and brand extension opportunities.
Formulate specific brand strategies and business plans consistent with overall category strategies.
Utilize brand/category information from other CP markets/categories and Global Business Development.
Maintain an external mentality with awareness of outside world events and competitive information.
CROSS-ORGANIZATIONALRELATIONSHIPS
Seek commitment to team agreement and demonstrate networking skills with other departments when completing projects.
Identify and mobilize the resources needed for marketing plan development and execution.
BUSINESS/FINANCIAL ANALYSIS
Support estimates of brand sales and market shares upon which brand budgets
Manage product portfolio/mix to increase profitability.
Recommend business decisions to management to meet financial goals and improve profitability.
Continually strive to meet all business and budgetary goals both annually and quarterly.
