DIS Vision, Mission and Aims
Deira International School is vibrant and oversubscribed school due to its popular location, outstanding facilities and spiralling English and IBDP curriculum. We particularly like to employ teachers who are enthusiastic about teaching, are flexible and team players, have strengths to share beyond their professional skills, and are dedicated to contributing to internationalism and multiculturalism. We currently have more than 80 student nationalities and 15 teacher nationalities in the school.
Additionally, applicants will need to have the following:
Trained Teacher Certification (PGCE or similar)
Two years of relevant teaching experience
A degree or Masters in the subject area to be taught
Experience in the National Curriculum of England and Wales is an advantage
Experience with IGCSE or/and IBDP in the upper school is an advantage
Experience overseas and in an international curriculum is an advantage throughout the school, but not essential.

Primary School Teaching Roles
Primary School Learning Support Assistant (contracted by the parent)
Applications are invited for the position of Learning Support Assistant within the Primary section at Deira International School (located in Festival City) every school day from 7:30 am to 12:45 pm (this will change to 7:30 am – 2:50 pm next academic year). This highly motivated candidate must be experienced working with children in a school setting, have excellent communication (in English) and people skills. The successful applicant must have experience of supporting children with special needs and have the necessary skills to adapt learning to meet the needs of the student.

Secondary School Teaching Roles
Applications invited from teachers of Arabic to teach Secondary School (Year 7 to Year 12) beginning September 2018. Candidates must have a degree in Arabic, recent teacher approval from the UAE Ministry of Education (if your previous employment was within the UAE) and/or KHDA recent approval from Dubai, with Diploma in Education or Equivalent. The ideal candidate will have good spoken English, excellent computer/ICT skills and minimum three years of UAE teaching experience in their field, preferably in an international school setting in the UAE. Candidates experienced with students with learning difficulties will be also highly considered.

Special Education Needs (SEN)/Learning Pathways (LP) Teacher Assistant
