Support the execution of the Business Area’s Finance strategy and support all financial matters of the Business Area in the Zone. Provide financial transparency and ensure compliance with respect to legal and other governance requirements from Corporate/Region Finance. Provide most effective support to the Zone Business Line Managers. Cross communication between Zone and countries, as well as across Business Areas and Business Lines within the Zone – HQ.
What are my responsibilities?
Provide support to the Zone Business Area Finance Lead for the Accounting & Controlling function in the Zone and the global business owners in the headquarter and in the region regarding accuracy and integrity of books and records, including account closing and consolidation.
Planning and Controlling:
Follow-up and ad-hoc analysis of the Asset Management for the Zone Business Area.
Follow-up of the productivity measure for the Zone Business Area.
Responsible for commercial operations including contract management, i.e. controlling of terms & conditions and securing the financial viability of contracts & offers.
Provide support for the specific project execution of Business Area in the Zone.
Provide support to the Zone Business Area team for the verification, validation and follow-up of the price escalations received from countries.
Follow-up and ad-hoc analysis of the PRF across the Zone Business Area.
Support for Planning and Controlling of all financial parameters of the Business Area in the Zone, including Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting and Performance Controlling.
Active participation and support for preparing and discussing financial aspects of the Business Area, Business Plan in the Zone, e.g : Forecast Review , Budget planning review
Provide support to the Zone Business Line Managers for performance reviews/dialogues and ad-hoc analysis.
Provide support to the Zone Business Area Finance Lead for performance reviews, monthly commentaries, and ad-hoc analysis
What do I need to qualify for this job?
MBA, Master’s in economics or equivalent qualification from reputable University / College
At least 5 years work experience in Accounting and Controlling Field.
Solid IT for business skills (Excel, Power point, Business Object, SAP…)
Substantial experience in managing financial/ commercial aspects of Healthcare business
Sound knowledge of all aspects of financial accounting (IFRS, Siemens accounting guidelines; IC, SOA etc.) & reporting.
Strong analytical approach to interpret reports, develop financial models and prepare sensitivities for business relevant decisions
Full appreciation of budgeting and FC processes
Good appreciation of all aspects of customs/import/export management, logistics, real estate management, shared service concepts, strategic procurement and IT
Ability to understand and evaluate complex contracts under financial, legal & compliance aspects
Basic knowledge in tax management, and good understanding of treasury aspects, i.e. bonds, guarantees, cash management as well as FX processes
Excellent communication / presentation skills
Very good level of English, further languages are highly appreciated not a must
