The objective of this role is to source an exciting and credible range, along with a balance of Commercial Sportswear and Trend product. Build a broad understanding of the Brand Customer profile ensuring that all customer needs are met within the range from Technical to Casual sportswear. A critical factor of the role is it to work effectively with the Support function s to maximize de partment Sales & Profitability.
Taking into account latest Sales Trends and a detailed SWOT Analysis, a Buyer builds a seasonal strategy to cover Key Strategic priorities. This requires outstanding commercial awareness with a strong understanding of the sports industry and attention to detail.
Build and maintain relationship with suppliers to achieve maximum flexibility and reliability.
Manage and develop the team to deliver optimum performance with good time management , prioritisation , negotiation, and organisational skills.
Responsible for managing the full merchandising cycle from sourcing to profits and ensure that KPI’s are achieved.
