Colleague Services Manager


To be able to look after all aspects and functions of colleague and management housing in accordance with FRHI policies and procedures

Hotel Overview: Fairmont The Palm, Dubai is a world-class property on the iconic Palm Island in Dubai. The hotel features 381 guest rooms and suites with Fairmont Gold floors. A total of eight food and beverage outlets on property offers international dining options including, a Brazilian steak house plus separate cigar and wine bars. Fairmont The Palm also features an extensive Pool and Beach area with a health club, Willow Stream Spa and Fairmont Falcons Junior’s Club.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Human Resources, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service.
Responsible for offering “memorable arrival experience” for new colleagues.
Responsible for the day to day operations of all colleague and management accommodation.
Coordinates with external service providers for regular cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of the housing facilities.
Liaises with service providers to enhance collegue’s living experience.
Prepares annual accommodation operational and CAPEX budget.
Prepares monthly forecast and coordinates with finance and purchasing for all housing related procurement.
Updates housing occupancy reports on a weekly basis.
Prepares and organizes monthly colleague events as per HR Events calendar.
Ensure necessary accommodation rules and regulations are known and respected by all colleagues.
Participates in employee progressive discipline procedures pertaining to the housing, transportation and colleague dining policies
Conducts weekly inspections of apartments, colleague dining facilities, swimming pools, gyms and other employee facilities to ensure they are well maintained.
Responsible for updating all communication boards in the hotel and accommodation.
Responsible for housing lease contract renewals and terminations.
Deals with DEWA, Empower, Emicool and other utilities providers.
Maintains stores and inventory as per operational needs. Adhere to Asset discard procedures.
Consistently analyses colleague’s feedback and offer creative solutions to reach optimum staff satisfaction.
Prepares periodic and adhoc reports as required.
Responsible for maintaining Visitor Policy at the accommodation.
Implements all Health and Safety standards in conjunction with local laws in coordination with Director of Security.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate with internal and external Stake Holders.
Able to develop and build harmonious working relationships with colleagues and management.
Ability to lead by example.
Organization and effective time management skills.
Must be confidential in all Human Resources matters.
Advance level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including MS Project.
Understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Human Resources professional experience.
Ability to organize colleague’s events.
Colleague housing experience preferably in a five star hotel.
