Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to strengthen our team in Dubai. This position reports into the QA/QC Manager and may require occasional travel to Basra in Iraq.

Own, develop and collaborate across the contract with a focus on improvement across the service lines to encourage and excel in continuous improvement in search of excellence
Encourage and engage in the delivery of excellence throughout the contact to support the enhancement of delivery against the customers business plan
To facilitate and lead Continuous Improvement projects focused driving the key deliverables
Network throughout the Wood organisation to obtain and bring best practice to the contact and region
Accountable for the development and delivery of Contract Improvement plan in agreement with the management team
Demonstrate understanding of the current situation and future vision, establish relevant benchmarking / analysis and framing of improvement initiative to close the gaps
Responsible for the contact wide learning, from events, capture of lessons and sharing of these across the contact and support offices
Responsible for the visibility and monitoring of the Continuous Improvement initiatives for the contract and engagement of the relevant function
Responsible for the connection of the Continuous Improvement initiatives and the subsequent Assurance activities across the contract
Sharing within the Region/Globally success stories and improvements which may further their local business
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is able to listen, consider and persuade others to engage and work with energy and passion to deliver the improvements
The Improvements and governance should be within the local strategy ensuring that at all times are working ethically within the code of conduct
Skills / Qualifications
HND or Degree Level qualification is required
Minimum of 5-10 years experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industries
The successful candidate will be a Values Champion
Ability to work within and understand the leadership direction to assist in helping the Contract to deliver the best for the business
Experience in facilitation and Improvement processes (Lean, Six sigma etc)
Knowledge of Values, Current Processes for delivery of role and Good Governance
Experience of External company governance and Improvement and Innovation Facilitation
