The eCommerce Category Manager supports the eCommerce Division in Merchandise management, Sales and Inventory, Assortment Planning, Financial Planning and Marketing. The Category Manager is responsible for maximizing sales and margins for product categories – SPORTS through strategic inventory management as well as working closely with other Departments. The Category Manager also works closely with his/her peers to establish cohesive and synergistic merchandise strategies and plans for the most effective assortment mix and marketing presentation of products.
Analyzing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for category sales/margin/turns performance with Menamall’s vision.
Responsible for topline and bottom line of the assigned division
Develop and execute financial plans for specific product categories and classes that meet the eCommerce division and company financial goals.
Manage category, promotional and close-out SKU level inventory to maximize productivity, fulfillment and turn goals.
Proactively identify category/SKU specific opportunities and issues, proposing solutions that drive the business forward and minimize liabilities.
Manages communication and coordination of category management efforts across the departments of the Category Manager’s responsibility.
Collaborates in building a quarterly category business plan based on detailed analysis of previous results and market trends.
Manage user experience of the website including site navigation, content development.
Manage all aspects of Google analytics communicate relevant information to team members
Provide SKU information for quarterly catalogues to include category analysis based on previous year sales, target audience, and seasonality.
Manage sample requests for the web and catalogues to include sample verification and the completion of Merchandise Information Forms.
Works closely with the Merchandise Manager of each category. Communicate category/promotional plans to ensure desired service levels and optimum inventory positions are achieved.
Develop SKU level assortment plans for on-line and off-line promotions based on detailed sales analysis of previous results and market trends after each Merchandiser buying trip.
Analyzing and Improving views/Conversion/Fulfillment/GMV per View, Average Basket size and ASP.
Manage Vendors/new vendors and top seller accounts
Maintains integrity and execution of corporate/ government regulations.
Monitors and responds to issues and opportunities resulting from deviations in financial plan variances or market trends.
Supports the development of Category segment driven plans.
Maintains knowledge base of industry and competitor market trends and makes product recommendations.
Work closely with Marketing to develop marketing strategies based on market trends and seasonality.
MBA in Marketing/Retail & Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Business Management or related field is preferable.
5 years Retail Merchandising
3 years Purchasing experience
Proven knowledge of category management procedures.
Proven aptitude to work with financials
Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced environment
