Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is looking for an ambitious Expeditor to strengthen our team in Dubai. This is a home office position based in Dubai and will require occasional travel to Basra in Iraq.
Responsible for the desk expediting of purchase orders to ensure that they are delivered/ready for collection within project schedule/purchase order terms
Creation of daily expediting reports in materials management system (i.e. MATERIA)
Daily desk expediting of purchase orders
Updating of materials management system (i.e. MATERIA) with expediting status
Continually set expediting follow up dates in materials management system (i.e. MATERIA)
Issue expediting progress reports and update system accordingly
Notifying Senior Expeditor / Asset Focal Points of any potential schedule slippages
Maintain an auditable file of all relevant expediting documentation for each purchase order in relevant shared drive / area
Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices
Demonstrate commitment to Woods vision, values and behaviours
Skills / Qualifications
Degree qualification is required
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in the Oil and Gas industries
The individual should have varied work experience in the industry and a detailed knowledge of Suppliers and Expediting Status Reporting
Previous use of ERP’s such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP
Work under pressure to meet deadlines
