Ventures Middle East in Dubai is currently looking for a Field Executive to join the Consumer Research Team in Dubai.
The Field Executive’s major role is to focus on the quality of data collection produced from the interviewers and supervisors that has participated in any given project.
The fieldworkers will be the field executive’s center of attention, therefore, training them on how to make the best out of each interview, abiding to the instructions, and committing to productivity and performance is basic to succeed in any project.
The field executive can be supported by the Editing, Coding, and Telephone control. His intervention with these functions is essential given that the quality of work of each interviewer is reflected in his interviews. The field executive must be a part of these functions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
In charge of Study implementation:
Management and Training of a group of interviewers, supervisors (field controllers), editors, coders (when part timers are required).
Make sure a detailed and complete Job order is received before study launch. Also, a complete understanding of the specs and material in hand.
Supervision of all subordinates to ensure they are following instructions/ meeting each study requirements. This requires the executive to go on site and check in person on the interviews/ teams performance.
Preparation of study material (validation, piloting, printing, developing control sheets, log files, printing, filing).
Scheduling of fieldwork activities; distribution of interviews, coordinating the daily schedule of accompaniments (with supervisors), timings, etc.
Debriefings: with fieldworkers (on the field; interviewers, supervisors) and office based (editors, coders,..). The field executive should be regularly in direct contact with all fieldworkers.
With fieldworkers: supervisors and interviewers in order to ensure the continuity of the field and avoid any unexpected problems. Communicate with them on the errors/ problematic in their work.
Editing and Coding questionnaires.
In case of recruiting part time Editors and Coders is required: Ensure the flow of questionnaires being administered and the performance of each step. Respond sensitively to the questions and issues being addressed by the office working team.
Sample distribution: respecting the quotas.
Log file to be updated on a daily basis.
Supplying the data entry with questionnaires.
The control results by interviewer (evaluation for each interviewer’s work, provided by the controllers [field and office based]).
The editing of questionnaires (logical checks).
Assessment and evaluation of all subordinates, taking proper actions.
Provide regular updates to Operations Manager and Research in charge regarding the study sensitivity to any anomaly / finding from field.
All communication should be in emails. Therefore a good communication skills is recommended.
It is always expected from the field executive to be sensitive toward the errors that occur during fieldwork and take proper action with regard to these errors
Prepare payment sheets based on the log file results and submit these two to the field manager for approval
Questionnaires and study material must be packed, labeled and archived. The field executive should prevent any loss of questionnaires.
A degree or higher in a relevant field.
At least 2-3 years of experience as Field Market Researcher.
Excellent communication (Read, Write, Speak and Listen) skills both in English and Arabic (is a must).
Good knowledge of relevant computer applications, e.g., MS Office etc.
Self-motivated to work independently and with team.
Demonstrated commitment to completing tasks and objectives timely and effectively.
