Logistics Executive Group is recruiting a Financial & Business Analyst to join its Corporate Advisory team in its Dubai office.

This is an opportunity for a self-motivated analyst with rich finance skills and experience to develop into a fully-fledged management consultant under a senior mentor handling a broad range of client activities from strategic business reviews, business transformation projects, market feasibility studies, consumer market research and mergers acquisitions.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a keen interest in, and knowledge of, financial modeling, business performance, logistics, operations, economic and consumer trends in the UAE and MENA region and the lifestyle issues which surround them. This awareness will be brought to the fore during financial analysis for client projects and in contributing to discussions on such issues and in presenting market-based business solutions.

Successful applicants should have a strong sense of personal responsibility for the achievement of goals in terms of both his/her countries and wider departmental responsibilities, and should be able to demonstrate expertise in:

Contributing sector and/or business-process-specific knowledge to consulting projects that may include, but are not limited to, strategic business reviews, business transformation projects, market feasibility studies, consumer market research and mergers acquisitions.
Providing financial analysis on various consulting engagements with a bias towards supply chain and logistics.
Participating in market research related projects associated with supply chain and logistics.
Executing and supporting M&A consulting activities including acquisition screening, divestitures and separations, acquisition strategy, merger integration, strategic due diligence as well as joint ventures and alliances.
Performing a range of forecasting procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement to include computer modelling of internal use projections, preparation of clear, concise assumptions and background information, preparation of projected or forecasted financial statements, performance of compilation or examination procedures, and preparation of sensitivity analyses.
Assuming responsibility for increasingly complex forecasting and consulting assignments.
Excellent client service orientation with an ability to handle pressure in a positive, professional manner.
Communicating and correspond with clients and firm personnel to develop solid working relationships.
Preparation of deliverables, including reports and representations that effectively communicate market research, sector or process-specific data and solution models with targeted visualizations
Applying data & analytics concepts to business problems with an understanding of how applying these concepts can provide business value; this may require designing, hosting and debriefing a variety of information gathering exercises such as discovery workshops and ideation sessions, 1:1 leadership interviews, survey design and execution and external market research
Supporting project leaders in tracking and communicating project risks, budget, rates and launch/closeout activities.
Required Skills/Experience

Minimum 5 years of work experience as a financial analyst
Knowledge of supply chain / logistics industry preferred
Analytical, yet creative thinking, to enable effective decision making
Strong technical / data analytic skills; high level of numeracy
strong commercial and market awareness
excellent oral and written communication skills
presentation skills are a must
ability to work with and interpret data, as well as extract relevant strategic insights
Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
Ability to balance multiple work demands
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with other team members and clients with confidence
Strong goal orientation/self-motivation
Tenacity and keen attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
First rate organisational skills
Sophisticated knowledge of relevant software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
