Lead the Technology Business Management team with responsibility for running IT as a function. Oversee the functions that govern the areas of people/IT skills capacity planning, IT teams productivity planning/management, IT costing model to ensure IT performance is tracked to obtain efficiencies and align KPI’s to business wide goals as part of IT digital transformation. The Head of CTO Office leads the engagement with IT and supports the change management to ensure engagement of Group IT’s teams with the IT transformation as well as the IT business continuity strategy and planning to ensure a coordinated execution of business continuity plans in the event of threats (natural or other threats) to the business.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS

Lead the Technology Business Management team with responsibility for running IT as a function and the definition, execution, management and continuous improvement of Emirates group IT long term organisation development.
Oversee/govern the strategic IT skills/people capacity planning including the development of the ‘pre ordering’ IT skills planning capability.
Implement the integrated IT capacity planning strategy to forecast the future capacity needs in collaboration with Talent Acquisition and resource managers, to ensure that the IT investment and Run Portfolios are resourced efficiently.
Lead the modern and digital IT costing model and implement Technology Business Management (TBM) methodologies to ensure cost of all services provides by IT is captured at a granular level e.g. cost of applications, costs of delivery of services. Ensure this critical activity in the journey of becoming a modern and digital IT function is properly set up to reap the benefits of digital transformation and not only to create full transparency of IT costs but also to ensure the we can track efficiencies and align IT KPI’s to business wide goals as part of IT digital transformation and measurement of progress of IT.
Lead the IT team engagement and change management to provide vision and leadership to the engagement strategy, design and execute of a 360-degree engagement plan to ensure all transformational changes including ways of working, agile concepts and principles including the principles of self-organizing/autonomous teams are understood and communicated effectively enabling the individuals to flourish and maintain a high level of engagement and productivity.
Lead the development and implementation of IT team productivity planning and space management aligned to digital ways of working. Identify opportunities that assist with creating an engaging working environment that ensures high level of team productivity supporting the self-organizing/autonomous team implementation and aiding the retention and attraction of IT talent.
Lead the IT business continuity strategy and planning to ensure a coordinated and consistent execution of business continuity plans in the event of threats (natural or other threats) to the business. Ensure risk assessment, crisis management framework, business impact analysis, continuity strategy plans to reduce and/or mitigate risks, recovery strategies for recovery of application, infrastructure and data, business resumption planning are set up, rehearsed and tested with the support of business continuity cross functional teams on a regular basis.
Lead the support and coordination of internal and external IT audits by coordinating the IT activities and to ensure the IT function remains compliant with best practice guidelines and latest regulatory compliance aspects.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:
Degree of Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Business or Computer Science or similar

Experience:
10+ years’ experience with at least 3+ years experience of managing key processes of running IT as a business function. For example:

Modern IT/digital costing models/methodologies suitable for IT functions undergoing transformations
KPI’s aligned to digital transformation
Innovative resource capacity planning aligned to digital ways of working
IT business continuity strategy and planning
IT teams engagement and change management
Team productivity planning and space management and familiarity with creating an engaging working environment.
Additionally:
Proven leadership in leading change for a large organization
Experience working with key parties in IT and external functions such as audit function;
Experience in strategic resource planning
Knowledge/skills:
Proven ability to develop costing models aligned to modern/digital IT functions aligned to meet business needs/KPI’s;
Demonstrated ability to present convincing ideas, facilitate group sessions, influence decisions and interact with all levels of IT and external partiers interacting with IT e.g. internal and government audit functions
Good comprehension of skills needs in a fast moving and modern IT function
Good understanding of costs man
