Business : CHEP Emerging Markets

Function/Department : Supply Chain Management, Operations

Position Title & Location : Manager, Logistics – Emerging Markets

Location : Dubai

Arabic language is must

Position Purpose :

Manage Emerging Markets centralized logistics function. Align Transport operational strategy to the regional business and global supply chain strategies. The role will have overall logistics responsibility including Logistics Execution and carrier management for the region. Ensure purchase of transport capacity at optimum rate and availability of transport across region to meet the customer service requirements (On time Delivery, Right Qty) by managing the carriers, manage the execution team to deliver daily planning and allocation of orders, Manage Downstream distribution network and ensure coverage to recover CHEP assets.

Product groups: Pallets / Automotive / Pallecons

Major/Key Accountabilities :

Carrier Management:

Develop and implement Regional and local freight procurement and transport sourcing strategy

Plan and deliver spot market / routing guides and tariffs negotiation supported with analytics

Initiate and develop bid event’s and sign of routing guides in the TMS to its conclusion

Stay aware of transportation industry changes via visits to key carrier sites, customer visits, attending industry conferences and developing a communication network of industry representatives

Supplier relationship management with carriers via review meetings and continuous monitoring tracking

Track, manage and challenge carrier performances including rates, capacity and service commitments

Manage escalation of Supplier Service complaints to support on resolution, escalations and triggers and supports Service audits

Customer collaboration negotiation to develop CHEP and customer network and develop the understanding of customer transport sourcing needs

Manage monthly / quarterly meetings with carriers including developing Top to Top relationship

Cost:

Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and forecasting

Participates, leads improvement projects and actions to drive Supply Chain efficiencies.

Logistics budgeting and cost analysis and tracking

Working closely with supply chain finance to identify and explain cost deviations to the forecasted budget and report out to management.

Logistics Execution:

Team management of order processing for Customer and Distributors managed efficiently, effectively and in a timely way (ensure highest levels of customer service, customer service failures are documented and managed, manage exceptions and emergencies)

Monitor, track and improve transporter quality and performances

Load tender, dedicated fleet management and route management

Logistics Support for CHEP internal and external customers and Logistics Key point of contact

Identify and drive improvements related to logistics execution

Manage cost, budget sand savings for execution of orders
