Position Description

Function/Department : Supply Chain Management, Planning

Position Title & Location : Manager, Planning & Network Optimization IMET

Location : Dubai

Position Purpose :

This role will work in partnership with Planning, Operations, Finance, Transportation, and Sales groups to model and analyze proposed changes to the CHEP Supply Chain Network. Responsible for the continued optimization of the Supply Chain footprint (network, inventory, pool balancing, and capacity) in IMET region. This role is responsible for analysis and modelling to support planning processes in S&OP and ITP for the region. Will work closely with supply chain local team on budget preparation and monitoring.

Major/Key Accountabilities :

Strategic Network Planning

Conduct long-term capacity and pool replenishment strategy assessments and recommendations to leadership

Score carding: Compliance, Accuracy, Attainment, Scheduling

Support analyses for manufacturing, sourcing, network design, and asset management studies

Champion the network intervention process; filter ideas and develop strategic recommendations for network changes

Support analysis of alternative product supply and replenishment strategies (i.e. – direct plant shipment, pool distribution, TPM, etc.)

Jointly with Transportation and Logistics, support analysis and project implementation of key transportation and service centre productivity projects

Develop functional capability in Network Optimization tools (currently JDA/ – Networks Strategy)

Support the development of the strategic planning process and S&OP through the coordination of sourcing, production plan, and pool flow plans across the network.

Tactical Network Planning

Accurately model Supply Chain models and policies using Lamasoft Supply Chain software

Validate Supply Chain model against P&L Finances

Partner with Planning, Operations, Logistics, Sales & Finance to identify and analyse proposed network modifications

Present network recommendations (modifications) to the leadership team

Develop and report out Supply Chain Optimization Metrics and track the financial benefit of network modification once implemented

Define and document new processes and any process changes

Explore other methods/technologies to augment near and long term Supply Chain Performance (e.g. Network Simulation, Inventory Optimization, etc.)

Use project management methodology to ensure effective implementation and handover to country teams

Bring thought creativity to the in-country operating models in order to critically examine supply chain options

Operational Planning

Collect & Analyse Supply data , give input & participate in the S&OP process

Manage plant level inventories at optimal levels balancing plant capacities to ensure service is not compromised for cost

Responsible for customer flows analysis and optimization of the network

Collaborate cross functionally with supply chain partners to accommodate exceptions in the business and work on the operational requirement while reflecting risk in service or financial plan
