Procurement Manager required by a leading land fuel company in Brinkworth, Wiltshire!
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing strategic procurement for Watson Fuels, whilst individually managing all day to day operational procurement requirements in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for essentially creating a procurement capability within the Watson Fuels organization that does not exist today, including the development of sourcing strategies, execution of strategic supplier agreements and the development of procurement processes. A key aspect of the role will also include the national roll-out and stabilization of Oracle ERP System procurement module.
Whilst the position will not be immediately responsible for direct reports, this may be a requirement of the role in the future as the procurement function grows and develops.

Following the acquisition of Watson Fuels in 2013/14, World Fuel Services has become a major player in the UK land fuels market. To support our plans to grow further in this market we are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join the Watson Fuels organisation.
MANAGEMENT / STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive the standardisation, compliance and efficiency of procurement policies, processes and systems across Watson Fuels.
National roll-out and stabilization of Oracle ERP system procurement module.
Active involvement in the management of the cultural change that accompanies the procurement module roll-out.
Conduct procurement spend and supply base analysis to develop efficiencies and identify continuous improvement initiatives/cost reduction opportunities.
Develop sourcing strategies and execute master service agreements with strategic suppliers.
Actively engage in strategic supplier management and development. Providing solutions for underperforming suppliers and undertake key supplier visits
Be cognizant of the supplier market and pricing trends to ensure that Watson Fuels hold the market intelligence to make informed decisions.
Ensure that the procurement function is adequately resourced to support demand
Provide direction, leadership, supervision, training and mentoring to direct reports, driving continuous improvement
Develop a constructive and professional relationship with all key stakeholders within the business.
OPERATIONAL PROCUREMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare Bidders Lists and issue Request for Proposal (RFP) packages for products and services in order to secure bids in support of operational requirements.
Manage and conduct the process of performing bid evaluations and prepare recommendation documentation for award.
Liaise with operations and technical teams to ensure bids are evaluated in accordance with requirements.
Review and negotiate terms and conditions, interface with other disciplines such as Legal (where appropriate).
Execute Purchase Orders and Service Contracts with selected suppliers.
Determine the appropriate strategy to ensure the most efficient, economical and safe transportation of equipment and materials to site, within set times
