We are looking for an experienced “Sales Manager – Submarine Power – Dubai, UAE” to help us shape the future.
Based in UAE, you will be responsible for managing the GCC sells operation, to identify and develop contract opportunities, whilst being a part of our world class “Sell it” career program.
WHAT IS “SELL IT PROGRAM”
Sell It is a structured up to three years program designed to help new sales employees quickly get up-to-speed on the business, products, and culture of the Prysmian Group, while learning how to apply their skills to the business from day one.
Your career path will be assessed at regular checkpoints, to make sure you’re getting the most from the program. Objective: The role is focused on the Submarine Power Business (may also expand to others such as Submarine Telecom, Offshore Specialties), locally the interaction will be mainly with the Business Development Manager and System Engineer, occasionally with the Procurement Engineer for activity done locally. During the project execution, there will be contact with the Project Management team. The wider interaction will be with the main functions in Milan HQ (Sys Eng., Installation Eng., QA, HSE, Legal etc.). There are also overlaps and interaction with colleagues from other Regional BU’s. There is daily interaction with Clients, including end-users and Contractors. This will also include Engineering Consultants during FEED studies, bidding and execution.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We’re are looking for a Sales Manager – Submarine Power who is passionate about a sales career in a world leading Group. We’re looking for sales professionals with the skills and motivation:
You will need:
Minimum of 3 to 8 years of work experience in project sales, in supporting the project managers during the execution of projects on commercial/client matters, contributing actively to deliver the project on time and with the expected profitability
Holds an engineering degree (preferably in Electrical Engineer)
Experience in Subsea Power, Offshore, Oil & Gas, Subsea, EPC is desirable. More than a cable business experience we need a person that understands how a PROJECT works from A-Z
Ensures the management of commercial bids in order to optimize success in contracts awarding and maximizing Company commercial results with a proper balance of risk during the execution phase.
Manage the GCC selling operation to identify and develop contract opportunities
Build Customer’s intimacy at technical and C-levels
Set individual bid strategy and drive / Coordinate the bid preparation with other areas (engineering, factory, logistics, etc.)
Lead Contractual negotiations, including Terms & Conditions
Develop opportunities in emerging markets/sectors, such as India
Technical marketing to promote Prysmian capabilities and position the Company for key opportunities
Works closely with the Prysmian team, to priorities which opportunities present the best chance of conversion in order to support the Business Director in developing a deliverable forward strategy
Tracking and management of the GCC sales opportunity pipeline through to contract closure in order to deliver the Business plan
Continuously work to reinforce and protect the Prysmian Brand Image
Working in a heavily influenced Oil & Gas Market (not limited only to O&G) where opportunities are managed through International and local EPCI Contractors
Initiative and Ownership to drive business from remote location (competence is in HQ)
Strong business relations with key Clients; TSO, Developer, EPCI, NOC etc.
Manage pre-qualification of Prysmian Entities
Languages: English – Fluent, Arabic and Italian – Good (preferred but not mandatory)
Passion about a sales career
Organized – This is a fundamental skill required for the role. The team receives hundreds of emails and requested every day, the person must be extremely organized to avoid last minute answer requests or rush the other team member.
High level of competency and strong experience in the sales area
Solid attitude to technical understanding
