Role Overview:
The job holder will lead and will be responsible for the MENAT’s corporate payments’ product suite under GLCM’s Strategic Business Initiatives, supporting HSBC’s corporate customers in MENAT region within the Global Liquidity & Cash Management (GLCM) portfolio.

This role holder will define, create and manage the various propositions under new generation payment products covered under GLCM’s SBI including (but not limited to) outward Real time payments, Global Disbursement, SWIFT GPI, Multi Currency Payables for our corporate clients to enhance HSBC’s market leadership position and profile as a prominent Liquidity and Payments Management provider regionally and globally
Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Impact

Responsible to develop the regional product commercialization strategy in line with short term and long term vision for the SBI new generation payables product suite

Responsible for oversight of short-term and long-term Product strategies leveraging regional Product execs to provide insight and clarity of global regional and local customer needs, and the regulatory environment

Business Project Management

Drive GLCM innovation theme and projects related to Liquidity Management Portal and Next Generation Virtual Account Management through all stages of Product Life Cycle (PLC) management.

ATP and budget planning

Align and prioritize Information Technology (IT) Investment requirements during the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) planning process.

Product profitability & Commercialization

Drive improvements in business profitability through the implementation of standardized metric based management process covering all aspects of product performance including cost accounting and risk management

Develop and drive specific commercialization activities creating tools to support sales and client service teams in educating and marketing our global Product capabilities

Ensure regular, embedded interaction with the GLCM team and CMB and GBM customer groups. Work collaboratively with business owners/stakeholders
Leadership & Teamwork
Understand impact of Payment Advisory strategy on stakeholders, and leverage the wider team to achieve goals
Operational Effectiveness & Control
Follow HSBC Group guidelines & policies with regard to internal audit controls, compliance and operational risk.
Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Experience & Qualifications:
Educated to graduate or post-graduate level (or equivalent)
Significant experience in market/client facing banking functions such as corporate banking relationship management or sales esp. w.r.t. driving commercialization of new products.

Prior expertise in transaction banking and specifically exposure to Liquidity and Payment products across several markets.

Ability to think out-of-box to come out with innovative solutions leveraging emerging technology. Experience in fintechs, product technology companies is also welcome.

Familiarity with domestic and international tax and regulatory practices is required.

Fluency in English is expected, other languages beneficial
