What are my responsibilities ?
The tasks and responsibilities of the combined position of a proposal and project manager will be extensive and diverse and will develop over time depending on the business development. The following are the primary areas of work and assignments:
Preparation/Compilation of customer service proposals and contracts for services ranging from residential Operation and Maintenance, hotline support, modernizations, inspections, trainings, etc.
Compilation and innovation of full-service and advanced service concepts
Generation of proposal presentations for internal and external audiences, presentation of service solutions to service customers
Sales support for the CS service portfolio (standard and advanced)
Developing and maintaining tools for proposal compilation
Developing, maintaining and extending of the proposal text library including standard proposal presentations
Collaboration and coordination with regional entities as well as subsuppliers during the proposal compilation
Obtaining quotations and cost and price calculations in collaboration with BA
Coordination of bid team members during the proposal compilation
Execution and adherance to all applicable SPPAL processes (PM@Siemens, LoA, ProMit, etc.)
Setup, manage and lead small to mid-size service projects, in particular in the Service 4.0 context,
Establish a good customer intimicy with internal and external customers and contributors to present and implement proposed Service 4.0 solutions
Project performance analysis and project team/management training/coaching
Cross-site project management to introduce improvements and uniform tools on a global scale for a better global management of service activities,
Collaboration with PLM to analyze, test and improve BHS equipment and systems as well as Service 4.0 solutions targeting better maintainability, lower maintenance requirements and higher return on investment for customers,
Continued collection and analysis of cross-project maintenance data, in particular in the context of Service 4.0 solutions, in order to derive information about maintenance quality, productivity and performance as well as to identify root causes for improvement of service projects globally and to develop advanced, innovative service offers for continued growth of the SPPAL service business
What do I need to qualify for the role ?
Qualifications and educational requirements
The successful candidate will bring the following experiences and expertise, which are essential for the successful execution of the assigned tasks:
BSc in Mechanical/Electrical, Automation, IT Engineering, or Service Excellence with a minimum of 5 years general professional experience or equivalent professional experience in the airport and/or baggage/material handling industry
PM certification Category S or greater (PM@Siemens or PMP)
Work experience in customer support activities, proposal compilation work as well as presentation to customers
International work exposure
Consolidated knowledge of airport operations, baggage/material handling operations as well as baggage handling systems is a plus
Successful track record of project and proposal team management and development (training, coaching, mentoring) utilizing advanced interpersonal and intercultural skills,
Customer relationship management and development skills securing and extending awarded service projects as well as acquiring new service business, especially in the field of advanced services like Service 4.0
Project management skills managing small- to medium-sized resident service projects
