The Software Engineering Senior Manager will be responsible for working closely with the broader Digital Workplace team to drive development of enabling tools that allow employees to engage with internal IT in a seamless, contemporary, and modern way. They will lead a focused team to continually develop Etek’s as per the Customer’s requirements with Global Standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

Responsible for managing the prioritization and execution of deliverables for key functions of the Digital Workplace organization
Direct management of an agile team who are responsible for working cross-functionally with other peers and teams to deliver against key organizational objectives
Influence the prioritization of other organization’s work to ensure alignment across the broader team
Balance multiple streams of execution and ensuring upstream commitments to leadership and customers are met
Demonstrated leadership through domain depth and influencing technology strategy across specific domain
Be hands of with development activities when required
Ability to troubleshoot and remedy availability and performance issues with both internal code and external third-party services
Define and evangelize software engineering best practices to improve reliability and performance of ecosystem
Have proven understanding of and ability to develop configuration and deployment automation required for improving the performance, availability, and manageability of Cloud services
Provide coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities to Staff placing an emphasis on not only attracting talent but also retaining it

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management

A minimum of 12-15 years of professional experience in software engineering & a minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering leadership / management role

Technical Expertise:

Experience building scalable, globally accessible web applications and platforms
Extensive knowledge in Billing Systems, ERP & CRM systems, Mobile Applications etc.
Direct experience working with and building applications on Cloud based environments (AWS, Azure, or similar)
Hands on background of configuration management (using SVN, GitHub or similar) within an enterprise environment
Demonstrated coaching of others in programing/codes or other Computer Science skills is desired
Well-developed and established analytical and problem skills is a huge plus
Understanding of different engineering methodologies and appreciation of when to utilize appropriately

Ability to evaluates technology to drive features and roadmaps, mapping technology trends to internal vision and strategy
Understands the value of changes and is willing to pivot direction to embrace different ways of working
Able to balance value propositions for competing stakeholders and develop recommendations that meet all needs
Able to perform detailed build vs. buy assessments and make well-researched, data-driven recommendations
Leadership:

Able to effectively communicate drivers behind decisions and continuously reflecting on both success and failures to improve performance and strategy

Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team

Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment, developing project plans, and managing releases on short cycles (e.g. Agile, Scrum).
Outstanding problem-solving skills and a passion to solve hard problems.
Demonstrated experience delivering results in an ambiguous and changing environment
