University of Sharjah Announces Job Vacancy for the Position of

Vice Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Affairs

Mandate and Responsibilities:
To realize the mission of the University and its objectives through offering financial and administrative services and developing financial, technical and human resources. The position of Vice Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Affairs is considered among the senior leadership positions at the University, since the Vice Chancellor is financially and administratively the main person in charge of the departments under his/her authority. The Vice Chancellor is also a main member of the University Higher Administration, which consists of the Chancellor of the University, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs and Vice Chancellor for Public Relations.

Academic Qualifications:
Preferred applicants will hold a PhD from a reputable university in a specialization compatible with the departments of: Purchasing, Human Resources, Finance, Physical Plant and Passport Services.

Senior experience in: Financial, administrative and accounting procedures, purchasing, contracts, tenders, annual inventory, and budget process. Preferred candidates will have worked in a finance or administrative position at a highly reputable university or academic institution for a minimum of 10 years. The candidate is required to work and communicate well in both Arabic and English, demonstrating proficiency in the two languages.
